Snow day

We've had lots of snow days this year! Yesterday was a snow day and J got to stay home from work.  We had so much fun together.

Awesome

Lately, I have been feeling SO grateful for the time that J and I are blessed to have with our boys.  I love the times that I get to rock with my babies.  I don't rock them every night, so I really enjoy when I do.
I am loving the time I get to spend with A.  He is so fun.  Yesterday, right after waking up in the morning, A asked J, "Daddy, do you get to stay home ALL day today?!"  He was so happy to hear that the answer was yes.  A follows J around all the time.  He has started to be genuinely helpful with the babies and he loves playing with them.  He is trying to teach them how to play hide and seek....I don't think they'll get it the way he wants them to for awhile, but I love that he wants to interact with them.
So, I could sum up my life right now by saying, "Awesome."  I love that ages that the boys are at right now.  It's definitely easier than it was 9 months ago.
Now, if only I could find our camera, I'd share some pictures of my cute boys!

Overdue.....for a post

Wow! I don't remember much of October through December.  I'm told that's typical with having twins.

These three boys have kept me busier than I expected.

These two take the majority of my time.
(Kohler and Cooper)

We are adjusting to our new schedule and there have been a few days when I've felt like we've actually had somewhat of a routine.

We had a great Thanksgiving.  We went to my brother, Wood's, house for Thanksgiving.  We stayed a couple of days and had a lot of fun.  It has been really fun to have them here.

We had a wonderful Christmas.  J had the whole week of Christmas off.  We really enjoyed the extra time together.  I was sad to see the break come to an end.  A was used to having Daddy around each day, so it was a hard transition for him too.  The day after Christmas was the first time that I got to play a game since the babies were born.  It was pretty fun.

This is a picture of A enjoying one of his Christmas presents.

I may come back and blog about the twins' birthday.....but I'm not promising anything.  I don't know if I will get to it.

It's time.......to update

We've had a wonderful summer.  Gratefully, I am a homebody, so when someone pointed out that it's been the hottest August on record and expressed sympathy for me since I am pregnant, I hadn't really noticed that it was SO hot.  We are all doing well and we were all healthy, when I first started this post, but now A is battling a fever.  He has been doing pretty well though.  He doesn't complain too much about not feeling well.

I have some pictures to share.  The first few are of A doing some of the things he LOVES to do.

Vacuuming.  He would do this everyday if he could.
This is how his bed usually looks.  He doesn't leave much room to sleep in there.  Maybe that's why he'll sometimes opt to sleep on his floor.

Climbing in boxes, bins, baskets or coolers.  He really likes to do this and then have J give him a ride.

The next pictures I am putting on here, since my friend Teresa said it's been awhile since I've blogged and my blog deserves at least one pregnant picture.  So here are pictures of me being pregnant.
Here I am at 19 weeks.
25 weeks
26 weeks
 30 weeks
 A kissing the babies
The last two pictures are from today too.  A really likes to have his picture taken and so when J was taking my picture, A said, "Okay, my turn!"  When asked, A will say that there are ten babies in my tummy.  I guess I need to work with him on numbers now......or maybe not.  If he's expecting 10 babies, maybe he'll be pleasantly surprised with only two?

People are still saying I look tiny for being pregnant with twins.  I think that's funny, since at my last check up, which was last week, I measured at 35 weeks.  Which means that I am as big as a 35 week pregnant woman carrying one baby.  It's still nice to hear that they think I'm tiny, I would rather hear that than, "Wow, you've really gotten HUGE!"

Last month we went to see the Hill Cumorah Pageant.  We drove up early Saturday morning and spent the day with my aunt, uncle and some cousins.  The pageant was wonderful.  We were really surprised A stayed awake for the WHOLE thing.  He didn't take a nap and stayed awake until we were in the car driving back to our campsite.  It was really fun to see A play with my cousin's son, Thomas.  They played very well together.

And here's one last picture of A, since he asked me to take another picture of him.

Two

A had a birthday in April.  I know....it's been awhile since I've done anything on the blog.  Anyway, he had a great birthday.  He is getting big and will answer correctly when asked, "How old are you?"  Two seems to be a common theme in our family lately.  A turned two and he will be getting two brothers later this year!

Easter Egg Hunts

We took Allen to an Easter Egg hunt this last weekend. It was a HUGE egg hunt. There were 30,000 eggs. I'm very glad that they split up the age groups. Allen got to be in the 0-1 age group. He had a lot of fun picking up the eggs. He even put a few in another kid's basket. We're going to another one tonight and then another one on Saturday. We didn't intend to go to so many, it's just turning out that way.

I made fruit dip for the first time yesterday. It is really good. I made it so I can eat more grapes. I may even try some apples with the dip.

J has been able to go into his part time job at a nursing home a few times. It's been nice for him to do it. He is enjoying meeting people there and hearing their stories.

New Year

We rang in the new year with safety covers on our door knobs. Allen can now open doors. He's had the lever doorknobs down for awhile, but now he can open the regular ones too.

We had a fantastic time in North Carolina after Christmas. We went there and spend the better part of a week with my aunt and uncle's family. It was a full house. Allen actually learned how to open doors there. I loved having multiple chances to play Pandemic and Ticket to Ride. I REALLY like those games. I loved that Allen got to spend time with and play with cousins. My favorite was the Chopped competition that we did. It was crazy but SO fun.

I am no longer going in to work one afternoon a week. This week was the last week of me going in. I am happy to be finished doing that. It was fine, but I didn't feel like it was worth all the effort it took to come in. I'm still working from home though.

I borrowed a workout DVD program from my brother. I'm really enjoying it, I just need to do regularly. I've learned that even though my all time favorite work out is running outside, I'd rather workout than not do anything. That's probably mostly because it still makes me feel tough.

J and I have started anew schedule for ourselves. We will try to go to bed by 10:30 and wake up at 6:30. That's when we woke up this morning. We'll see how it goes. I usually stay up much later, but I don't have a problem going to bed that early and then just reading in bed.

I guess that's it for all the random New Year happenings.
